'Terpstra's misconduct is unacceptable'
Because of pushing Maarten Wynants with his shoulder Niki Terpstra was excluded from the Eneco Tour by the organisers. "Cycling does not need this. This kind of misconduct is unacceptable", event organiser Rob Discart said.
With 32km left before the finish, Terpstra caused a row in the peloton. When Belkin's Wynants wanted to pass him by, the rider from team Omega Pharma-Quick.Step-man psuhed the Belgian with his shoulder.

The race jury deemed the misconduct of the Dutch rider as unacceptable and removed Terpstra from the race results because of  'a very agressive attitude towards another rider during the race'.

"Cycling does not need this", event organiser Rob Discart said. "This kind of behaviour cannot be accepted. We cannot tolerate such gross misconduct.."

Wynants suffered as well, although he was awarded a time loss of a minute. "He responded, so we could not let him off the hook", the race organiser clarified.
