Mental problems are often a delicate issue, but approximately one out of four Belgians has to deal with it eventually. It does not just happen to others, it might as well happen to ourselves, our children, our parents, family, neighbours, acquaintances... But still it remains taboo.
That discomfort is caused by prejudice, stigmatisation, embarrassment and a lack of knowledge and can lead to people feeling restrained to talk about their problems or to find help with disastrous consequences.
Project "Te Gek" wishes to break that taboo. It tries to find a way for making mental health a discussible topic. They also wish that people with mental problems are looked at in a correct fashion.
Are you ready to break that taboo about mental problems? Make it possible by supporting Te Gek!? Financially. By doing so you will help them with new initiatives that make mental problems a discussible topic.
The Foundation builds on a tradition of almost 100 years of independent and nation-wide mobilization against cancer.
