Today the 34th edition of the AG Antwerp 10 Miles & Marathon was presented in Antwerp. Belgium's biggest running festival will take place on Sunday 28 April 2019. Along with title partner AG Insurance and Sporting A, the organisation wants to get everybody moving. The expected amount of runners is 40,000, just like last edition. From now on it is possible to sign up for every distance.

The schedule is identic with the one of the previous edition. Traditionally, the first race of the day will be the AG Antwerp Marathon. It will start on Linkeroever at 9 a.m. and the finish line is located at the Grote Markt. Registration for this last AG Antwerp Marathon spring edition was possible from September 20. The number of participants is once again heading to 3,000! "In 2020 the Antwerp Marathon will move to autumn and to another location. Many participants take this opportunity to finish on the traditional course for the very last time", says Greg Broekmans from Golazo.

At 11 a.m. it is up to the youngest participants during the Alpro Kids Run. The AG Antwerp Short Run 5 km is scheduled at 12 mid-day. And then of course it is time for the most popular distance: the AG Antwerp 10 Miles. The 10 Miles will start in three different waves, one at 2:30 p.m., one at 3 p.m. and one at 3:30 p.m. The Kennedytunnel and the Waaslandtunnel will be the eye-catchers of this year's track.

"The Antwerp 10 Miles & Marathon is an event for everybody and we want to make it accessible for as many people as possible", says Ludo Van Campenhout, Antwerp's Deputy of Sports. "We continue building on the inclusive story of the previous edition. This year again we will give the people of Antwerp with an A-card the opportunity to take part in the biggest running event of Flanders at a reduced tariff."

Signing up for the AG Antwerp 10 Miles, the AG Antwerp Short Run and the Alpro Kids Run is possible starting from this moment.

Once again this year, participants have the possibility to donate 10 euro during their registration. In return they will receive the official event shirt. This edition the money will go entirely to Stop Darmkanker, a non-profit organisation that focusses on preventing colorectal cancer and detecting it in an early stage.
