The Slovenian qualifier event in the capital city of Ljubljana is one of the oldest Granfondos in the world with a tradition going back to the early '80s and also a very successful World Championships organization in 2014.

The time trial on Friday has been added since 2012 and will celebrate its 10th anniversary next year. The 18km out-and-back loop is flat, fast and windy with high average speeds for the winners.

Fastest time was for local rider Andrej Gucek before his compatriots Matej Kravos and Simon Peter Jackson while the women's race was a battle between World champions and former Worldchampions with German Adelheid Sch├╝tz winning before British Jessica Rhodes Jones and Slovenian Laura Simenc. The average speed of the winners was respectively 49.5 and 43.7 km/h

The 156 Granfondo or 97km Mediofondo on Sunday remains the main event of the weekend with also a family ride on Saturday. Italian Manuel Fedele won the Granfondo in a sprint with 25 riders beating two Slovenians Dean Bratus and Matej Lovse.

Tina Brelih won the women's Granfondo outsprinting Katarina Novak in a sprint with 2. Italian Odette Bertolin completed the overall female podium.

The mediofondo as qualifying distance for the men and women over 60 was won by respectively Italian Daniele Canesin and Slovenian Josefa Anzel.
