The Mexican qualifier event who has taken place in Campeche in 2017 and in San Luis Potosi last season will also be part of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series in 2019.

The event finally got the approval and will remain a qualifier with a time trial on the 8th of June in the downtown Tangamanga park over 22.6 kilometers while the Granfondo on Sunday June 9 will start and finish in the city center for a challenging loop of 121km with 1158m of elevation.

San Luis Potosi is a city 400km north of the capital with a population of 685.000 people and at an altitude of 1850m above sea level.£

Last year 750 riders from 14 different countries took part in the event.
