The 2009 Brussels Marathon will take place on Sunday October 4. The organizing committee aims to keep the same programme in 2009.

On Sunday, Rik Ceulemans has finally made his dream come true. After four attempts he was on top of the stage of the Brussels marathon. Quite a feat, taking into condiseration the field of competitors and the fact that Ceulemans is often referred to as the specialist of races in tropical conditions.
