For the first time in her career, Justine Henin has won the Proximus Diamond Games. In the final on Sunday she beat the Italian Karin Knapp in two sets.
Justine Henin was relieved and satisfied that she has been able to turn the final of the Proximus Diamond Games into a great spectacle to her advantage. And should a tournament still be held in Antwerp next year, yes she will be there again as well.
Losing finalist Karin Knapp was not that disappointed after her defeat against Justine Henin. "This has been a fantastic tournament to me. I never thought I would make it this far."
Cara Black and Liezel Huber have won the doubles at the Proximus Diamond Games. In the final they beat Ai Sugiyama and Kveta Peschke.
