  • Open Internet Explorer
  • Click on the Tools menu then click on Internet Options
  • Click on the Security tab then the Internet Icon
  • Click on the Custom level... button and scroll down until you see Scripting
  • To Enable: Set both "Active Scripting" and "Allow paste operations via script" to Enable

  • Open Internet Explorer.
  • Click on the Explorer menu and select Preferences.
  • On the next screen you should have a menu bar down the left side. Under "Web Browser" should be an option named Security Zone . If it is not visible, click the triangle beside Web Browser to expand the list. Now click the Security Zone Option.
  • Select a Zone of Internet , and set the security level to "custom level". Now click on the Settings button.
  • Scroll down until you see Scripting, and Enable or Disable the two scripting options, depending on your preferences.
  • Now click OK, and OK once more to finish.

  • Click on the Tools menu then click on Options
  • Click on the Web Features image on the left
  • Depending on what you are doing, either place or remove the checkmark beside "Enable JavaScript"
  • Click Ok.

  • Click on the Edit menu then click on Preferences
  • In the left hand column, click on the arrow beside Advanced so that the arrow points down.
  • Now that Advanced is expanded more options appear. Click on the option that says Scripts & Plug-ins, and under Enable Javascript, depending on what you are doing, place or remove checkmarks from Navigator and Mail & Newsgroups.
  • Click Ok.
