Like a hurricane. That is how Usain Bolt blasted through the bend in the King Baudouinstadium. When he came into the straight the field was already completely beaten down. At 30m before the finish Bolt shut the pace down and crossed the line almost freewheeling in 19.57, the fourth fastest of all time. The 200m has never been raced like this before.
Sanya Richards set a great performance in the gruelling 400m. In finishing in 48.83 she ran the fastest 400m of 2009 and broke the prestigious stadium record set by Marita Koch in 1982.
